Microphone capture from web browser on Edge Deployment

Edge deployment serves the Web Console over the HTTP protocol. HTTPS is not provided for the Web Console Pages on the Edge.

We suggest our customers provide an HTTPS Web proxy in front of the Edge Web access if the Web Console is to be used regularly by many users.

Edge Web Console is fully functional over HTTP with one exception. Because of the security imitations imposed by all major web browsers (e.g. Chrome) it is not possible to access the microphone e.g. for microphone live transcription. However, there is a workaround for this, as described in this article: Enabling the Microphone/Camera in Chrome for (Local) Unsecure Origins
